Global Business Mobility Visas

You can choose from many routes when applying for a Global Business Mobility visa.

These include:
• Senior or Specialist Worker visa
• Graduate Trainee visa
• UK Expansion Worker visa
• Secondment Worker visa
• Religious Worker visas

Senior or Specialist Worker Visa

This route is suitable for highly paid individuals who want to continue working with their current employer at a UK branch or location. It replaces the previously offered Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) visa.
key requirements for a Senior or Specialist Worker visa are the following:
• You must be employed by a Licensed Sponsor who is approved by the Home Office.
• Your employer must be paying you £42,400 or the average going rate, whichever is greater.
• You must have been working with your current employer outside the UK for at least 12 months before making an application for UK visa.
• If you have not been in employment with your employer for at least 12 months, you still may be found eligible to apply if you earn £73,900 or more per year in your role.
• Your job must be on the list of eligible occupations.
• You must have received a Certificate of Sponsorship from your employer. This meant that your employer should have been granted permission from Home Office to employ workers from overseas (Generally known as sponsor licence).

Graduate Trainee visa

This route allows overseas workers to join an employer in the UK as part of the graduate training program leading to high-paid senior or specialist roles. This route does not lead to settlement or residency rights.
The following eligibility requirements must be met for this route:
• You must be aged 18 or above.
• Current Employment. Your current employer must be linked to a Licensed Sponsor in the UK through a joint venture, or due to common ownership or control. You must have been working with your current employer for at least 3 months before your visa application.
• Expected Pay in the UK. You must be offered a salary of at least £23,100 per year, or 70% of the going rate for your position, whichever is higher.
• Certificate of Sponsorship. You must have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from your UK sponsor. The COS must have been issued no more than 3 months before the application.
• Skill Level. You must prove that your job is skilled to at least the RQF Level 6.
• Financial Requirements. You must have cash funds of at least £1,270 which must have been with you for at least 28 days of the 31 days immediately preceding your visa application.

UK Expansion Worker visa

This route allows the expansion of an existing overseas business to establish a branch in UK of the same overseas business. This route facilitates entry for senior managers and other managerial professionals to UK.
Following eligibility criteria must be met:
• You must be aged 18 or above.
• You must be the current employee of an overseas business that is connected to your UK sponsor through joint control or ownership.
• You must have been with your current employee for at least 12 months, or you must be earning £73,900 per annum or more in which case the employment duration condition is waived.
• You must have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship from your UK sponsor.
• You must be paid a salary of £42,400 or more per annum, or the going rate for the job, whichever is higher.
• You must have the financial means to support yourself once in the UK. This involves having cash funds of at least £1,270 which must have been in your account for 28 consecutive days in the 31 days preceding the application.

Secondment Worker visa

This route allows overseas employees to come and work in the established business of the same overseas employer provided the UK business has been granted the sponsor licence from UK Home Office.
Following eligibility criteria must be met to qualify for this route:
• You must be employed by an overseas employer who has a contract with your UK sponsor worth at least £50 million, with at least £10 million in business volume per year. This contrast must have been registered with the Home Office by your UK sponsor.
• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• You must have been an employee of the overseas employer for at least 12 months.
• You must prove that your intended job is skilled at the RQF Level 6 at the very least.
• You must show that the job you intend to undertake in the UK is genuine and that you are suited to the job responsibilities.
• You must receive a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from your UK sponsor.
• You must have funds of at least £1,270 which you must have held for at least 28 consecutive days in the 31 days preceding your visa application.

Religious Worker Visa

This route allows Religious Workers to come to the UK to perform specific religious tasks such as preaching, non-pastoral activities, or religious work as part of a religious order.
This visa allows Religious Worker to stay for a maximum period of 2 years and they are eligible to bring their dependents to UK under this route.
Following eligibility requirements are to be met to qualify for this visa:
• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• You must have a confirmed job offer to work as a religious worker in the UK.
• Your employer must be a licensed sponsor and should have provided you with a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
• You must meet the financial requirements to apply for this visa.
• You should not have been issued a visa as a Religious or Charity Worker in the 12 months prior to making this visa application.
• You must prove that you don’t intend to undertake any job other than the one listed on your [CoS].

Youth Mobility Visa

The Youth Mobility Visa allows young people from the countries participating in the Youth Mobility Scheme to come to the UK for a period of up to two years.
This route allows young people to perform certain activities whilst in UK which includes permission to work in the UK, enroll on a course to study in UK, and to carry out their own business activities by registering as a self-employed person provided certain requirements are met.

This route does not allow dependents to join you in the UK. This visa is not extendable.

Country-Specific Visa Requirements

If you are applying for a Youth Mobility Visa from India, Iceland, San Marino, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, or Japan, you are required to meet additional country-specific requirements.
If you are applying from Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, or Hong Kong, you can apply under the scheme only if you have received a formal invitation to apply. Once you receive the invitation, you must submit your application within the period noted on the invitation.
Indian nationals are subject to meet the following requirements:
• You must have received a formal invitation to apply under the scheme. You are required to file for the visa within the duration noted on the invitation. You have to provide the unique application number contained on the invitation during the visa application process.
• You must provide a local police certificate. This certificate can be no more than 6 months old at the time of your visa application.
• You must have a qualification that is at RQF Level 6 or above.
• If you don’t meet the RQF Level 6 qualification requirement, you must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. This experience must have been gained in a professional role which should be similar to an eligible occupation list as per the Home Office rules.

Other General Eligibility Requirements

You must meet several other requirements to apply for Youth Mobility Visa such as:
• You must be at least 18 years of age. At the same time, you must not be over 30 at the time you submit your visa application.
• Eligibility by Country. A limited number of countries participate in the Youth Mobility Scheme. These include India, Australia, Monaco, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, New Zealand, Iceland, South Korea, Hong Kong, and San Marino. You must be a national of one of these countries to be eligible for the visa.
• Eligibility by British Nationality. You are also allowed to apply under the Youth Mobility Scheme if you are a British national living overseas, a British overseas citizen, or a British overseas territories citizen.
• Financial Requirements. You must have a required minimum amount of cash funds to show that you can support yourself once you arrive in the UK. These include showing the availability of at least £2,530 in cash funds. You must have this amount for at least 28 days in the 31 days immediately before your visa application.
